Als Junge, der mit DOS/Win3.1 _groß_ geworden ist, stolpere im Netz immer wieder mal über Nostalgieperlen von damals.

Bsp: hier ein Video des Erfinders des Task Managers in Windows und wie sein Code es in die finalen Versionen des MS-Betriebssystems geschafft hat.

Btw. was waren euren größten Hoppalas mit PCs? Ich hab mal ein frisch gekauftes Netzteil ruiniert, weil ich den Stromanschluss des 3,5"-Floppy-Drives um 1 Pin versetzt angeschlossen habe (3-Pin-Anschluss). Was folgte war Rauchentwicklung und verbrannter Geruch in der Wohnung meiner Eltern. -.-’

Bin mit dem C64 aufgewachsen bzw. Amiga 500 - konnte nicht mal damit gscheit umgehen. ☹

Dito, mein erster PC war auch ein C64, gefolgt vom Amiga. Parallel dazu hatten wir einen 286er zu Hause stehen auf dem ich schon etwas Üben durfte (ich sag nur Memmaker 😉 ).

Das einzige Hoppala an das ich mich noch erinnern kann, war als ich die Amiga Version von Hook auf unserem 386er spielen wollte 😂. Hat natürlich nicht geklappt, da ja der Amiga ganz ein anderes Floppy Dateisystem hatte als der IBM PC.

hatte wieder eine recommendation von dave auf yt; dieses mal erzählt er über seine arbeit das bekannte space cadet-pinball, ursprünglich von maxis entwickelt, für windows zu portieren, warum es nicht mehr mit windows mitgeliefert wird und, dass es einen superuser (imo: cheat) modus gibt.
